Why are auctioneers allowed to post for outside their own lot?

Great question, auctioneers are allowed to pay for a service that WineCommune offers for displaying upcoming 'Live" auctions. It's a service to you, the bidder by partering up with these auction houses. For these lots your bids are called 'absentie' bids, which means these lots are offered online say starting out at $150 and the high bidder of the lot will transfer over when the live auction is started the small advantage is since the bidding online is higher set than in the live auction, ie. $100 "live bidding start price". If no one bids higher than than $100-$149 the online bidder who bid $150 will obviously win the lot.
