Is it legal to ship wine into a particular state?
WineCommune doesn't actually sell any wine - we provide a place for others to post their wine for sale. Because each seller on WineCommune is located in a different place, each is subject to different shipping rules. When you use WineCommune you must comply with the laws of your state and often, the laws of the state to which you are shipping wine.
Most sellers will put any shipping restrictions directly in their lot, but we recommend you email any seller before you bid to confirm that they can ship to you. Also, if you include your zipcode they will be able to give you a shipping quote. A good place to familiarize yourself with the relevant laws is the WINE LAW section of http://www.wineinstitute.org - they keep detailed, up to date information on the shipping laws of each state.
You should also consider contacting the beverage control authority of your state to find out what requirenments you must meet.
