Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the best wines made in the United States. I am a Private Collector from Seattle - I have been on the QC Wine List since the 2001 vintage. I obtain my wine direct from the winery (25 miles from home) and I pick it up in person at their yearly release party. Perfect Provenance..I have documentation if you'd like to see it. All wine has been stored in my temp. controlled home cellar.
Wine Advocate Review 2006 - Score: 99
The flagship 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon comes predominantly from the famous Champoux Vineyard in which the winery is a partner. It was aged in 100% new oak. It sports a deep purple-color with a captivating nose of spice box, sandalwood, truffle, Asian spices, incense, black cherry, and black currant. Opulent on the palate (but elegant as well), it already reveals serious complexity, density, and succulence of fruit. Enjoyable now but with at least 8-10 years of cellaring potential, this marvelous effort should have a 30 year lifespan.
In 1990, in Issue 69, after tasting a complete vertical of Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon, I wrote that the winery was producing Washington's (and possibly America's) finest Cabernet Sauvignon. Little has changed in the intervening years. The winery has been upgraded and the portfolio has been expanded, while quality remains at the summit.
Wine Advocate Review 2007 - Score: 100 Points
The flagship 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon contains 3% Merlot. This multi-dimensional offering surrenders an inviting bouquet of sandalwood, Asian spices, violets, truffle, black currant, and blackberry. Seamless on the palate with no hard edges, it is mouth-coating, powerful, and exceptionally light on its feet all at the same time. Impeccably balanced and with plenty of fine-grained tannin in the background, it should effortlessly achieve its 30th birthday. The entire portfolio is a tour de force!
Money Order or Paypal (plus 4 %). Shipper charge $8 for 2 bottle, $10 for 3 bottle, $12 for 4. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am planning to move so I intend to lighten my wine 'footprint' a bit therefore I'll be listing more wine soon....including Cayuse, Quilceda Creek (back to 2001) and perhaps some Betz (one of my personal favorites).
Cheers!!!!
