| Sampled 6/27/09. This wine took only 30 minutes to fully open. It is a sophisticated fruit bomb. The Cab Franc is elegant and ultra rich with dense and overripe strawberries and raspberries but also slightly sour red and black cherries with some blueberry underneath. Some vanilla Oak in the background and a little cedar. The alcohol comes through on the palate in a couple places, which kept this wine from being a 95 pointer for me. At peak, and this wine is maturing much faster than the typical Arietta productions, so drink up sooner than later. |
