| Sampled 3/6/10. The cork was in excellent shape. The opened up within 15 minutes and did not show any real signs of age in its rich red/purple color. The wine has a noticeable acidity level to it, but the overripe blueberry and red fruits still come through. The wine did not fade one bit over the 90 minutes we consumed it. It is not particularly complex, but it gets 1+ extra points for its ageworthiness. Although the wine will not improve at this point, it is likely to hold its form another 7+ years. Therefore, if you`re saving a bottle for a 50th or 55th (or perhaps 60th) birthday or anniversary, you are likely to have a wine you can open and enjoy. |
