2004 Dujac Gevrey Chambertin aux Combottes Rouge Condition: A gentle hint of wood frames equally elegant and exceptionally pure red berry and cherry fruit aromas that display a bit of Gevrey earth and complement perfectly the round, rich, sweet and detailed flavors that are notably refined. The finish is dusty to the point of dryness though I suspect that this is from the racking that was done the day before this tasting as the mid-palate is really quite succulent plus there is good phenolic maturity. This too should age well though there is somewhat less structure present compared to the Gruenchers. BH BH92.89 |
