Along with such Yves Vatelot-fashioned wines as Reignac and Balthus, the luxury garagiste cuvee from the negociant firm of Dourthe, Essence de Dourthe, and several other Despagne cuvees, this is the benchmark for what can be achieved by a generic Bordeaux. It is equal to many classified growths. An amazing 100% Merlot, it possesses great intensity, a huge nose of espresso roast, melted chocolate, black cherries, and berries, a deep, opulent, full-bodied palate, and a stunningly rich, pure, symmetrical, long style. This compelling wine is the result of great ingenuity, creativity, and dedication to one’s craft. It should drink well for at least a decade."

You will be contacted once wine has arrived at our warehouse. Purchases that are made in whole cases will be kept in their original container but will be unpacked if being shipped to you.
Futures purchases of the same wine but from different auction lots will be combined to create whole cases. Any 2005 Bordeaux futures that are purchased on WineCommune may be re-sold through our consignment auctions at anytime prior to the wine arriving at our warehouse.
