Located in the path of Petaluma Gap fog and wind,
Sangiacomo Vineyard produces Pinot with lots of complexity. Low yields
are the norm in the vineyard usually ranging between a ton and a ton and
a half per acre.
Notes of tart cherry, cranberry, cinnamon and citrus peel give away the vineyard's cold climate heritage.
Palate follows with very plush, almost velvety and
silky impression, with notes of cherry, cranberry, red currant,
grapefruit peel, christmas spice box and cloves. Good acidity and silky
tannins make for a very elegant and a very well balanced wine with laser
beam like delivery of flavors and finish.
