To us, Lavender Ridge wines represent everything that is right about wines grown and produced in the Sierra Foothills. An appreciation of what their unique terroir has to offer, coupled with a dedication to the highest standards of organic farming, not only demonstrate their commitment to being stewards of the land but also their willingness to listen to Mother Nature's cues and respect her commands when she says that this land was made for Rhône varietals, and not Pinot Noir - no matter what the backwards Sideways wine economy says!
Medium-heavy red wine blended from Petite Sirah, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Alicante Bouche (a cross between Grenache and Petite Bouschet, developed by Henri Bouschet in 1885). Aromas and flavors of red currant, raspberry, earth and game with smokey tones. Huge, soft, mouthfeel and long finish.
