Bright garnet color. On the nose, aromas of very ripe red fruits, licorice and black pepper. The attack is fresh and full. On the palate, balanced structure followed by ripe tannins already well-integrated, with a long finish.

This vintage will certainly remain as a year of reference in Burgundy as it offers great homogeneity among the wines, as much for whites as for reds. The whites have an incomparable richness and finesse; the reds are well-structured and seductive. The quality of the wines is due to the harvest of well-ripened grapes in a nearly perfect state of health, thanks to practically ideal weather conditions: days of rare luminosity and cool nights under a north wind. Very good levels of sugar in the grapes, as well as their thick skins (enclosing a great amount of polyphenols), especially in the Pinot Noir, combined with good acidity, all indicate a vintage built for long aging
