De Martino, Chile’s pioneer winery par excellence, is
reinventing the concept of Chilean wine by producing wines that are a true
reflection of their origin.
The grapes that go into this wine come from the Choapa
Valley in northern Chile. The primary characteristic of this area is that it
has no central valley or separation between the Andes and Coastal Mountains.
This is the narrowest section of Chile, with just 90 km (56 mi) between the
Pacific Ocean and the Argentine border in the Andes Mountains.
This Syrah combines black fruit on the nose with an extraordinary
freshness on the palate.
The wine was aged for 13 months in French oak barrels.
