Bright, deep ruby. Complex and inviting aromas of
blackberry, tobacco, meat and smoky oak. Dense, sweet and serious, with
noteworthy intensity and precision to the flavors of blackberry, pepper and
spices. Finishes vibrant and long, with silky tannins and excellent lift. An
outstanding value. (Incidentally, the Goulart wines are made by Luis Barraud,
the partner of Paul Hobbs in the Cobos venture.) – 90 points by Stephen Tanzer
