In 1978, the Hope family started growing grapes at Liberty School Vineyards in Paso Robles. Their grapes were used by Charles Wagner in Caymus’ second label - Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignons. In 1996, the Hope family established Treana winery, took over the Liberty School label and added Chardonnay and Syrah to the portfolio. Fruit from roughly one dozen vineyards is used in making the Cabernet Sauvignon. The lots are oak aged separately and blended 3 months before bottling. “…displays upfront aromas of ripe red fruit and hints of vanilla, followed by similar vibrant red berry flavors. Solid tannins lend excellent structure, while maintaining a soft approachability reflective of Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine has a ripe full finish” Winery Notes. |
