In 1881, Pio Cesare started to make wines from grapes he and his neighbors grew. The winery is now run by his great grandson, Pio Boffa. The tradition of keeping production limited and quality high remains unchanged. The winery is located in the town of Alba in Piedmont between the Alps and the Mediterrean Sea. The mist that forms in this area is known as “nebbia”. The region’s most famous grape, Nebbiolo, is named after that mist. The estate has a total of 110 acres in Barolo and Barbaresco, Under Pio Boffa, minimal intervention is used and different varietals are being explored. This 100% Dolcetto wine comes from vineyards surrounding Treiso, Monforte d’Alba, Serralunga and Madonna Como.""Light and floral, with some pleasant red fruit character. Drink now.
