Château de Bonhoste, located at the border of Saint-Jean de Blaignac village, was founded by the Bussiere and Chabert families in the late 1890’s. The estate is now run by Colette and Bernard Fournier. Its 44 hectares are planted to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. This wine is crafted from Merlot (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). “Aromas of small very ripe red fruit and floral notes (rose and peony). Warm on the palate (serve very cold) with distinct varietal flavors. Tannins come through at the end’ Winery notes. |
