This owns a virtually smoky, mineral-like complexity which emerges on
the nose, followed by allusions of cherry fruit underscored by dramatic
freshness upon a lengthy finish. Hand-picking, extremely selective sorting and delicate pressing of the
grapes, and finally maturing in oak barrels, are just some of the
reasons why Domaine Ott Rose has a reputation of being "the finest rose
in the world." A delicious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and
Cinsault. Domaines Ott's winery is located on a former dwelling of the
Counts of Provence, a superb 18th century country house in Provence.
The surrounding estate, entirely carved into the rocky land by Marcel
Ott, his children and grandchildren, has been remodelled and replanted
several times over.
