2006 Louis Jadot Puligny Montrachet
89+ Points Wine Advocate
The Jadot 2007 Puligny-Montrachet (from numerous sites and lots, some of them classified premier) smells of raw hazelnut, lemon, peach and apple, the last-named also signaling on the palate the presence of some residual malic acid. This boasts impressive freshness and energy, if borderline aggressive pungency accentuated by the recent sulfuring. Chalk and salt make prominent appearances in the late innings, confirming the impression of a wine with impressive abundance of raw material, needing a bit more time to show its true temperament, and probably worth following for 3-4 years.
