Kalleske Shiraz 'Greenock' 2004 --RP 94 750ml

$56.99
4 available

"A large-scaled as well as impeccably balanced red, the 2004 Shiraz Greenock’s dense purple color is followed by concentrated blackberry and cassis flavors intermixed with notions of raspberries, camphor, and graphite. This beautifully-knit, full-bodied Shiraz possesses modest amounts of alcohol (14%) for its richness and intensity. It should drink well for 10-12 years ... at the minimum.

In 2004, Kalleske was the biggest surprise of my tastings. Thanks to cutting edge importer, Dan Philips of the Grateful Palate, I was introduced to the high quality wines of Troy Kalleske, one of the Barossa’s top growers who owns 400 acres, primarily in the highly renowned Greenock region. This is clearly an up and coming superstar estate that merits considerable attention."  94 pts, Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, October 2005.
