Sileni Estate Semillon 2002 750ml
| "Stainless steel fermented with 30% MLF and 20% finishing ferment in barrel. Light golden straw colour. Full, weighty nose, the aromas showing a stylish and restrained herbaceous note to gentle citrus and tropical fruits. Dry on palate, the palate unfolds to reveal a generously rich and lusciously honeyed texture with near exotic herb and mineral-laced citrus fruit flavours. Quite sumptuous, and the acidity is perfectly balanced. Wonderfully developing flavours that enhanced and were enhanced by the Gouda cheese, lifting the wine to freshness and adding a piquancy to the cheese. 18.5+/20" Raymond Chan, Regional Wine & Spirits, Wellington, NZ.
