Bindi Pinot Noir 'Block 5' 2004 --Jeremy Oliver 96, Tanzer 93 750ml

"Brooding and tight-fisted, this sumptuously flavoured and elegantly composed pinot is simply waiting to explode with fruit and complexity. It reveals an accentuated sweet and heady rose petal perfume of red cherries and raspberries before a long, finely crafted and ethereal palate. Framed by silky tannins, it builds in volume before a lingering, savoury finish of pure pinot fruit and charcuterie-like undertones. (Macedon Ranges, 19.0/96, drink 2012-2016)"  96 points, Jeremy Oliver 07/01/06.

"Medium red. Rich and smoky on the nose, with lovely dark and red berry notes accented by oak spice and mocha. Supple and almost creamy in texture, with sweet cassis and raspberry flavors showing impressive depth and power, with no obvious tannins. Pretty irresistible stuff. 93 points."  Josh Raynolds, Stephen Tanzers International Wine Cellar, Jul/Aug 06.
