90 points for 2005 Miss Harry from Parker:
"Hewitson, a reliable winery producing distinctive wines, has fashioned two Cotes du Rhone-like Miss Harry. It is a blend of approximately 40% Grenache, 40% Shiraz, and 20% Mourvedre. Juicy, rich, longer, and intense, the 2005 Miss Harry possesses a deep ruby/purple colour, black fruits, wonderful purity, and notions of licorice, flowers, pepper, and dried herbs. Drink it over the next 3-4 years." Robert Parker Junior
The Wine Advocate, October 2006

2005 Miss Harry- Campbell Mattinson "A monster of deliciousness"
91 points
"Took a while to open up, but then it was lovely. A monster of deliciousness. Super-savoury and deftly structured, packed with earth and jubes and currants and violets. I only wanted to taste it - I ended up drinking it. Drink: 2006-2013". Cambell Mattinson, Wine Front Monthly, 14 November

"Dean Hewitson doesn't muck around with what he wants to achieve with his wines in bottle and his Miss Harry is made to drink young and juicy. This is not to say it's not serious wine: 80+ year old vines and 14.8% alcohol ensure it's a mouthful but one that is full of immediate charm. Bright red cherry and berry aromas have a hint of dark sweet earth, and lead to a juicy, silky palate where the fleshy fruit weight is balanced by fresh acidity, giving length and finish."

91 points for 2005 Miss Harry in The Australian Wine Annual
"Smooth, spicy and savoury, this typically regional blend of southern Rhone varities is deliciously and deeply fruited, with a restrained expression of grenache that dosen't dominate the other varieties. Deep aromas of plums, cherries and dark berries have a slightly confectionary aspect, with dusty undertones of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Smooth and polished, it's palate is spicy long and finished with a note of licorice."
The Australian Wine Annual, 2007

91 points for 2005 Miss Harry- Gary Walsh
"Aromas of summer berries, flowers, raspberry rope, meat and dried herbs. On the palate this is medium bodied with meaty red berry fruit and supplementary flavours of leather and herb. It is juicy and lightly confected and has light grainy tannins and a little warm alcohol. Finishes dry with meaty leathery red berry flavours. Very tasty and perfect with a pizza."

Smooth and generous- 2005 Miss Harry
90 points
"Smooth and generous, this is a lively mouthful of blackberry, black olive and sweet spice flavors, lingering on the polished, refined finish. Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2013.—H.S."
Harvey Steiman, The Wine Spectator, June 27, 2007

92 points for 2005 Miss Harry in The Advertiser
Barossa Valley 15% $23 "One of the gang of old vine, dry-grown beauties under the Hewitson label, this grenache, shiraz and mourvedre blend is warm and powerful, full of summer-ripe aromas and soft spiced flavours, lifted with an edgy finish. Try too, a sweet fruited 2005 Mad Hatter ($50)."
Tony Love, The Advertiser, Wednesday 4th July 2007

90 points for 2005 Miss Harry in James Halliday's 2008 Edition
"Light but bright red; vibrantly fresh brasserie style (especially Italian) not forced into something bigger and larger." Screwcap 15% alc Rating 90 To 2010 $23.00
