| Parellada (locally: Montonec), Macabeo and a touch of Chardonnay. Parellada at its best, from high-altitude, gravelly mountain soils: intense lemon-oil aroma with firm acid structure enhanced by the Chardonnay. Stony and aromatic, reminiscent of Chablis or Rheingau.
"Green-gold. Mineral-accented lime, quince and white peach aromas display a refreshing dusty quality. Crisp, sharply focused and wonderfully pure, with vivid citrus and orchard fruit flavors braced by energetic minerality. Reminds me of a top-notch Muscadet on the impressively long, spicy finish. I love this style. 90 points." Josh Raynolds, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Jul/Aug 07. | |
