Bird in Hand Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Wines To Try - "Many will tell you it's a waste of time planting cabernet in the Hills. In many cases they're right, but this isn't one of them. A dark core of fruit with fine edges, fully ripe tannins and a finely textured finish."

"A powerful wine; tightly woven, savoury black fruit, with anise, quality oak and suitably imposing tannins finishing the picture. 14.5º alc. Rating 94 Drink 2025 Date Tasted Mar 07 " James Halliday's Wine Companion.

This limited release Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant example of a classic varietal cabernet. Displaying aromas of dark red fruits, blackberry and cassis along with subtle oak characteristics from fine grained French barrels. The palate is a rich and intense expression of its aromas, offering good complexity, volume and length. Matured for 18 months, this wine is drinking beautifully now and will cellar well for up to 10 years.
