"A powerful 1998 Shiraz (15.8% alcohol), this chewy, somewhat closed, but dense, muscular Shiraz is crammed with leathery, earthy, blackberry, cassis fruit, has a corpulent personality, sweet tannin, and a lusty, slightly rustic, but powerful finish. I am not sure it is going to gain any finesse, so drink it over the next decade to take full advantage of such exuberance." 91 pts, Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, June 2001.
