Kevin Arnold Shiraz 'Michael Ian' 2002 4 1/2 Stars John Platter 750ml
| "The 2001 was awarded 94 points by Wine & Spirits magazine and the 2002 is shaping up to be another fantastic offering. A bit earthier and more refined than the 2001 vintage, this is serious stuff with dark, rich fruit with chocolate-laced coffee notes. Easy enough to wash down when released, it should age gracefully for up to 10 years. Each vintage is named after one of the children of the Ord and Arnold families, the co-owners of Waterford Wine Estate under which Kevin Arnold is produced." The Jug Shop Wine Staff.
"Benchmark Cape Rhone-styled red (10% mourvedre). 02 named for son Michael Ian. Strong farmyard whiffs obscure fruit on nose, palate more generous with beef and brambles. Built for long haul." John Platter's South African Wine Guide 2005. | |
