"The 2002 The Coppermine Road Cabernet Sauvignon may turn out to be even better than the 2001. A longer, cooler growing season has produced an inky/ruby/purple-hued wine with a big, sweet nose of creme de cassis, graphite, blackberries, incense, roasted meats, and background vanilla. "Very elegant, almost cooler climate cabernet from McLaren Vale reflective of the 2002 vintage. Its ripe perfume of cassis, red plums and cedary oak reveals undertones of tobacco and dried herbs, while its palate is long, tight and powdery, firm but fine-grained, presenting brightly lit small black and red berry fruits.
