Burge Family Shiraz-Merlot-Cabernet 'La Renoux' 2001 --RP 92 750ml
| "A new offering, the 2001 La Renoux is a blend of 45% Shiraz (vinified and aged in American oak), 38% Merlot, and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon (both aged in French wood). This stylish, medium to full-bodied, saturated ruby/purple-colored offering displays excellent density and ripeness as well as good integration of oak. It is built more along the lines of an exuberant Bordeaux than a typical Barossa Valley Grenache or Shiraz. Consume it over the next 10-12 years." Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, August 2003. | |
