Galah Shiraz 1996 750ml

Clare Valley "This wine (500 cases from 88-year old vines) reveals a Martha's Vineyard-like, minty, eucalyptus, black currant-scented nose with spice and pepper in the background. In the mouth, it was bursting at the seams, with an overall tannic structure, and plenty of ripe, mint-infused, cassis fruit. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and rich, yet tightly knit, this wine may merit an outstanding score with another year or two in the bottle. It should keep for 10-12 years." Robert Parker's The Wine Spectator, June 1998.
