Veritas Cabernet-Merlot 1999 (by Rolf Binder) 750ml
| "The 1999 Cabernet/Merlot (70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, aged in old wood with the exception of about 15% new) exhibits a dark ruby/purple color and a gorgeously sweet nose of jammy black currants intermixed with earth and spice box. The wine is excellent, fresh and juicy, with sweet tannin and plenty of fat. Readers looking for reasonably priced Cabernet Sauvignon to gulp down over the next 5-7 years should check this beauty out. Production was 900 cases." Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, June 2001.
"Veritas slowly gained recognition and in 1996 and 1997 was awarded the Trophy for Best Small Producer at the Barossa Wine Show and the Trophy for the Best Barossa Shiraz. In 2002 Veritas again won the Trophy for the Best Small Producer. More recently Veritas has been awarded twice in 2002 and 2003 the Trophy for the Best Semillon at the Barossa Wine Show.
