Magpie Estate Grenache-Mourvedre 1999 (by Rolf Binder) --RP 90 750ml
| "The outstanding 1999 Mourvedre-Grenache (50% of each from 60-80 year old vines) is a beautiful wine offering a gorgeous nose of pepper, Old Bay spice, black raspberries, and cherries. It is exotic, somewhat kinky, and distinctive, but medium to full-bodied, with an encroaching note of new saddle leather in the finish. Only 210 cases were produced, but the price is right." Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate, June 2001.
